My Moisturiser collection

moisturiser-collection

So, during my cleanser collection post it became apparent to me that I never finish a product and just start a new one whenever I feel fit. So here we have my moisturiser collection. Again, it is embarrassing how many I found and I promise I will have a clear out at some point (maybe).

fullsizerender-7Super Facialist Probiotic Skin Recovery (day and night) – I actually liked these. So they claim to have peptides to promote cell regrowth so I had hopes that this would clear my acnes scarring. Unfortunately I can’t say that it worked wonders on that, but it did leave my face feeling hydrated and comfortable.

Body Shop vitamin C glow protection lotion – So this claims to brighten the look or tired dull skin, whilst also having SPF and UV protection. This smells amazing, really fruity and fresh, but it also stings me face a little – perhaps give this a miss if you have sensitive skin.

NSPA ultra hydrate cream – This was the first skin care I bought from NSPA and unfortunately I won’t be repurchasing. This is over powered with fragrances – it does smell nice and spa-like but it definitely isn’t natural. I used this a few times but I just felt like I was lathering unnecessary chemicals onto my face.

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo*** – In case you have been living under a rock, this is targeted at oily, acne prone skin. Obviously, I don’t have oily skin but when I brake out I find that the skin around my spots gets super dry and irritated, so I would use this to treat and hydrate the area. I liked this but have found that Sudacrem does the same thing, is cruelty free and is a fraction of the price.

Lush Vanishing Cream – I usually love Lush and when a member of staff recommends something to me they are usually hot on it, so I just go straight to buying stuff instead of getting the free samples (I have an issue) but they got this one wrong me for. I find that this is good for freshening up during the day or whatever but is not nourishing to be my only moisturiser.

Organic Surge Super Intensive Moisturiser –  I have recently done a full review on this which you can find here, but to summaries this is super rich and moisturiser and doesn’t irritate my skin.

Organic Surge Blissful Moisturiser – I had bought this the same time as the intensive moisturiser but automatically gravitated to that one (because my skin is dry affff) but I have tried this one out and although it is much thinner in consistency the moisture is still there. It does smell more fragranced but not in a super offensive way. I’m using this at the moment so will keep you updated.

Yes to Carrots intensive night cream –  This moisturised is richer in texture than I had expected, so is super nourishing and leaves your skin feeling hydrated. It is a bit on the greasy side, but is a night cream so who cares if you shine like the moon? I can’t really remember why I stopped using this, so may revisit.

fullsizerender-8Yes to Tomatoes daily balancing moisturiser – I freaking loved this! It smells weird but super nice, has the perfect rich and smooth texture so just glides on and sinks in ready for make up to be applied. It is aimed at combination skin so I only used this in the summer then had to swap it out for something richer, but again I think I may revisit this!!

fullsizerender-6Nivea Daily Essentials Sensitive (day and night) – These were my ride or die, holy grail, signature moisturisers for over a year!! I bought so many of these!! They are rich enough that my skin feels hydrated but are gentle enough that then never clogged my pores. The only reason I strayed from these are because I used one of my friends moisturisers and it made me realise that, although these were hydrating my skin, they weren’t moisturising deep down!

Honestly, I have tried so many moisturisers but I am still on the look out for that perfect one! I feel as though nothing seems to really nourish my skin without also irritating it. Please let me know any moisturisers you think I would like. Also let me know if you would like a full review of any of these moisturisers.

Until next time

-Cheryl
